Get The Weight Loss Habit – possibly a strange name for a way to lose weight – but the benefit of this unique approach is that you can achieve that all illusive factor we are all looking for – permanent weight loss.
So where did the idea of changing eating habits come from. Well, it was the linking together of two completely separate issues.
Number one I wanted, or should I say needed to lose weight. I had been trying for a number of years to lose weight permanently and although I felt that it was only 15 pounds that I needed to lose it still wasn’t happening. I tried a number of diets that friends of mine had tried or ones that I had read about. Some of them were successful to a degree, but some of them just weren’t me or they were just too inconvenient to my lifestyle.
Then the second element of Get The Weight Loss Habit concept – the importance of changing eating habits – which came to me one day when I was reading a business book. The whole of the opening chapter of this particular book covered habits and the way that they impact on our lives. Then the book went on to look at all the challenges we experience in our businesses and related them back to our habits which are so much a part of our life.
The statement which stuck firmly in my mind was – “if you are going to change any aspect of your life permanently then you have to change the habits which control that particular aspect of your life.”
It was like a bolt of lightning – well certainly like a light being switched on. I suddenly saw a way in which I could address my weight – lose weight and lose weight permanently. So I set about analyzing my eating and drinking habits and from that analysis I was able to identify the first habit that I felt that I should change.
But the most encouraging part of this whole changing eating habits idea was when I realized how long it would take – either to stop a bad diet habit or to modify a habit – permanently. It was a much shorter time frame than I had ever imagined.
With that in mind I set about my plan to experiment with changing one of my own habits – and it was successful and I felt healthier too and probably a little bit smug because of what I had achieved.
Then following on from my success I dragged in some friends and asked them to become part of the experiment. This was going to be my confirmation that Get The Weight Loss Habit worked. And yes, it worked for them as well – great!!
So the illusive permanent weight loss was possible and it didn’t need some complicated diet to make it happen. No special food or drink just re-education and modification of your eating and drinking habits and success will come.
